Here's what's happening this week at Montvale...

Dear Montvale Families,

Information about the dental sealant program was sent home with students yesterday. This program is offered by the State of Tennessee every other year, and all services take place right here at school.

If you are interested in having your child participate, please complete the back of the form and return it to school as soon as possible.

If you did not receive a form or need another copy, please let me know. I have extras and would be happy to send one home!

🍎🥪 Happy National School Lunch Week! 🥪🍎

A big THANK YOU to our wonderful Montvale cafeteria staff! From preparing meals to greeting students with a smile, you help make our school a welcoming place every day. 🖤🤍

Your hard work and care keep our Knights fueled, focused, and ready to learn. Thank you for all you do for our students—you are such an important part of our Montvale family! 🏰

📚✨ Learning in Action at Montvale! Our student teachers from Maryville College have been hard at work, leading small-group instruction and helping our students grow!🖤🩶 Experiences like these are a wonderful opportunity for our future educators to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting our students’ learning and success! Thank you, Maryville College, for partnering with us and helping prepare the next generation of educators! 🏰 #MontvaleKnights #MaryvilleCollege #FutureEducators #LearningInAction

📣 Pep Squad met our goal and sold over 200 Butter Braids 🥖 in our fundraiser and earned a free tour of the Millennium Manor in Alcoa! 🏰 So much fun! Thank you for your continued support of our most spirited Knights.🩶🖤

🩺 HEALTH SCREENING REMINDER 👓👂

Health screenings will take place at Montvale Elementary on Monday, October 19, 2026. Please make every effort to have your child present at school on this day.

These screenings are especially important for students who receive interventions, have an IEP, or receive services such as Speech or Occupational Therapy (OT).

📚 Students Being Screened:

🍎 Pre-K

• Vision

🏰 Kindergarten, 2nd Grade & 4th Grade

🚫 Want to Opt Out?
If you do not want your child to participate in these health screenings, please let Nurse Chrissy or your child’s classroom teacher know as soon as possible. This is separate from the dental screenings that took place earlier this year. If you opted out of that you still need to let nurse Chrissy know if you want to opt out of the health screenings for Monday.

If your child wears glasses please be sure they wear them to school on Monday for the screenings.

Thank you for helping us keep our Knights healthy and ready to learn! 🖤

Welcome Back Knights! We have an exciting week ahead for our Knights!
