Today, our Montvale faculty had the opportunity to spend the day learning alongside our colleagues at Union Grove Elementary during a day of professional development. Our teachers participated in engaging breakout sessions, collaborated with one another, and explored new ideas and strategies to strengthen instruction and provide the very best learning experiences for our students. A special thank you to the faculty and staff at Union Grove for their warm hospitality and for providing lunch for our team. A note from Nurse Chrissy.... Elgin is coming back this year on August 14 to do quick Dental checks on all students at Montvale. This is a free exam where they just look quickly at their teeth and if they see any problems ( abscess, cavities, ect.), they will send home a paper offering transportation and treatment free of charge. It is all arranged by them. 🦷 NOTE: If you do not want your child to participate in this program, you must send a note or email to Nurse Chrissy by Monday August 10, stating you do not want them to participate. 🌟 Morning Arrival Reminders 🌟 We are excited to welcome our Montvale Knights each morning! To help everyone have a safe, smooth, and stress-free start to the school day, please review these important morning arrival reminders.

⏰ Arrival Times: School doors open at 7:00 a.m. Please do not drop students off before 7:00 a.m.
The school day begins at 7:30 a.m. Students arriving between 7:00–7:30 a.m. will report to the cafeteria for breakfast or the gym until they are dismissed to class. Morning drop-off ends at 7:40 a.m. Students need to be in their classrooms before the 7:45 a.m. tardy bell. Students arriving after the 7:45 a.m. tardy bell must be signed in by an adult in the office.

🚗 Morning Drop-Off Tips: To keep our drop-off line moving safely and efficiently, please remember:
If you are the first car, please wait until 7am behind the cone incase a bus is there first. When you pull into the drop-off line, please pull forward as far as you can before letting your child out. Students should practice opening the car door and exiting on the passenger side whenever possible. Please remain in your vehicle while in the drop-off line.
If your vehicle has a child safety lock and your child needs help getting out, please let the teacher or safety patrol member know, and we will be happy to assist. If you need to unbuckle your child or assist them out of the car, please park near the gym and walk your child up to the awning. Students who are not being dropped off through the car line must be accompanied by an adult.

🏫 Visiting the Office in the Morning: If you need to visit the office in the morning, please wait until 7:15 a.m. Park near the gym and walk up to the office awning for assistance.

🥣 Breakfast Reminder: If your child would like to eat breakfast at school, please try to arrive by 7:20 a.m. This gives them plenty of time to eat and get settled before heading to class.
